Wipe down metal furniture legs and appliance backs before they go in a box or into storage, because salt residue keeps working after the move. If anything is going into storage after living on the island, mention it, since it needs to be clean and dry before it sits in a warm room for a month.
Elevated homes, exterior stairs, and storm season
A lot of island properties sit elevated with exterior stair access to the living level, which changes the crew size before anything else does.
Exterior stairs in the open, in August, with a piece that needs four hands is a different job than a ground floor carry. Tell us how many steps and whether there is a landing, and we will bring the right number of people rather than discovering the problem halfway up.
The other island reality: barrier islands are in the first evacuation zones to be called during a storm. If you are moving in between June and November, look up your zone and your route out during your first week rather than during your first warning.

Between tenants, a lot of island jobs are partial: swap the mattresses, take out the sectional, bring in the new dining set, haul the old one away.
