Hourly for local moves, weight and distance for long distance, and in writing either way. No hidden fee structure that appears on moving day.
We will also tell you when you do not need us. If you have a truck and two friends and one awkward piece, hire us for the one piece. That is a normal booking and it is cheaper than a full crew you do not need.
How we handle furniture
Everything gets blanket wrapped in the room it is standing in, not in the truck. Doors, banisters, and elevator jambs get protected before the first item passes them.
Drawers stay in solid wood dressers on a local move because it saves you boxes. They come out of anything pressed board, because particle board flexes under its own weight the moment it leaves the floor. Small distinctions like that are the whole difference between a crew that moves furniture and a crew that carries it.
